Under the Sea Cardigan, Nautical Baby Sweater - Knitting Pattern

Under the Sea, is a super cute stranded colourwork cardigan that is a simple knit (I know it looks complicated but I promise it is not). Simple shaping and no fussy buttonholes allows you to enjoy the colourwork and not have a lot of finishing to do.

Perfect for trips to seaside. 

Smal repeating patterns make this a great first stranded colourwork project. The cardigan is worked from the bottom up and seamed with raglan sleeves. 

The pattern is sized to fit birth to approx. 3 years and worked in DK weight yarn.  Full sizing info and yarn quantities are shown below:

Needles:

Straight 3.75mm & 4mm

Also needed:

Stitch holders

Button 1.5cm in diameter

Tension:

Yarn used knits as DK to this tension 22 sts and 30 rows to measure 10 x 10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4mm needles.
