This Christmas gnome knitting chart for baby jumpers places all three gnomes across the front panel of the Blank Canvas Baby Sweater in one go. Meet the Three Wise Gnomes: Pip with his present, Harold wearing his best holly, and Sidney with the snowflake he has claimed as his own. Together they make one of the cosiest Christmas jumper fronts you are ever likely to knit, and the placement maths are already worked out for every size.

A quick word about knitting charts. You can find charts online for free, and many of them are drawn on square grids. The problem is that knit stitches are not square, they are rectangular, wider than they are tall. A chart drawn on squares will knit up distorted, wider and shorter than it should be. Every motif in this library is drawn to the correct stitch ratio, so what you see on the chart is what you get on the jumper.
And if charts are not your thing, every motif also comes with full written row-by-row instructions, colour by colour, stitch by stitch. Work from whichever you prefer.
The PDF also includes instructions for placing the Three Wise Gnomes into the front of the Blank Canvas Baby Sweater, with all the maths already worked out for each size. You just cast on and follow along. The Blank Canvas Baby Sweater is not included in this PDF and is available to purchase separately.
The trio chart does not have to go on a baby jumper. Pip, Harold, and Sidney also make a very pleasing cushion front worked on a plain stocking stitch panel, and a gift that is not going to be grown out of by February.

About the Blank Canvas Baby Sweater
The Blank Canvas Baby Sweater is a plain, well-proportioned baby jumper designed as the perfect base for any of the motifs in the library. It is worked flat and seamed, in Stylecraft Special DK, with a 2x2 rib hem, cuffs, and neckband. Skill level is Confident Beginner. It comes in six sizes, from 0-6 months to 4-5 years, with a chest measurement ranging from 48cm (19 inches) to 68cm (26.75 inches). The base pattern is available to purchase separately here.
