Panda Queen, Kids Intarsia Jumper Knitting Pattern
Every child has That Jumper. The one they want to wear every single day, the one you have to peel off them at bathtime. Meet the Panda Queen.
This is a children's intarsia jumper featuring a panda motif complete with heart-shaped glasses, knitted i-cord ears, and a small crown. Sized to fit ages 1 to 9 years, it is the kind of make a child will point at in a shop window and then discover, to their great delight, that their knitter can actually make it.
The pattern is written clearly and works up at a satisfying pace. Construction is bottom-up and seamed with set-in sleeves, and the panda face is worked from a chart using either intarsia or duplicate stitch, whichever you prefer. The glasses, ears, and crown are knitted separately and sewn on at the end, which sounds fiddly but is genuinely straightforward once you get going.
