Naughty Pup, Adult Intarsia Dog Christmas Jumper - Knitting Pattern

FOR You asked for more adult sized designs, please meet the Naughty Pup Sweater. This size inclusive sweater is sized to fit chest from 81-158 cm 32/62 in.

This sweater is worked flat from the bottom up using the intarsia method, them seamed to finish. Adorable Fairy Lights are knitted and sewn on, making these super easy to remove and extend the wear all year round. After all, puppies are not only naughty at Christmas.

Knit in DK weight yarn, the sample is shown in King Cole, Big Value DK (50g balls), keeping this project not only cosy but affordable too!

Needles:

Straight 3.25mm & 4mm

Circulars 3.25mm (useful for working the neck, but could be worked on straight needles)

4mm DPN’s

Tension:

Yarn used knits as DK to this tension 22 sts and 30 rows to measure 10 x 10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4mm needles.

Pattern Notes:

The sweater is worked flat from the bottom up in four pieces and seamed. Stitches are picked up around the neckline edge for the collar. The dog image is worked using the intarsia colourwork method and the string of fairly lights is knitted separately and sewn on. Use the intarsia technique when working the chart, preparing small separate balls for sections of colour and twisting yarns to prevent holes. Small details such as the facial features and outline could be worked in duplicate stitch (Swiss darning) if you prefer.

Sizing S (M: L: XL: 2X: 3X: 4X: 5X) designed to fit with 8-16cm positive ease. Shown in size M on a UK size 10 model.
