Bath time is about to get considerably more interesting. These character bath mitts turn a perfectly ordinary wash into a small theatrical event, and they are just the thing for a new baby gift that actually gets used.
Meet Bacon Butty the pig and Garlic Sauce the frog. Each mitt is knitted in King Cole Cottonsoft DK, with 3D ears and a gathered snout on the pig, and stuffed pop-up eyes on the frog. Both work up quickly on straight needles, with a short DPN section for the frog's eyes only. The pattern is written clearly throughout, with step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow even if you haven't made anything quite like this before.
The main yarn colours are blush pink for the pig and sage green for the frog. Only very small amounts of the contrast shades are needed for the details, which makes this a lovely stash buster if you have oddments of DK cotton sitting about.
