Every Christmas needs a robin. Bobby the Robin is a baby and toddler jumper with a little character sewn right onto the front, surrounded by snowballs and embroidered musical notes.
Bobby is made up of separate knitted applique pieces, head, body, wing, tail, and tummy, sewn on and finished with embroidered details and a cream button. No intarsia, no complicated colourwork. Just knit the pieces, sew them on, and watch him come to life.
The pattern is written clearly and works up at a confident beginner level. The sweater is worked flat from the bottom up, with set-in sleeves. A small chart is included for the snowballs. Everything else is written instruction.
