This baby bear romper knitting pattern is the kind of make that gets you almost as excited as the baby will be when they realise their hat has ears.
Baby Bear is a romper and hat set with a friendly teddy face and pocket on the front, a paw print on the back, and two little ears on the hat that make the whole thing impossible to walk past in a pram.

This is a lovely pattern to reach for if you have never tried short row shaping before. The wrap and turn shaping at the back waist is the only new technique here, written out clearly so it is easy to follow, and everything else in the pattern is simple, familiar knitting. The romper is worked flat from the legs up, while the hat is worked in the round, so you get a taste of both methods in one set. Quick to knit up and lovely to give.
Designed by Jane Burns. I've been creating knitting and crochet patterns for babies and children for 18 years, so you can trust this one is as straightforward to follow as it looks.
