If you know someone who still gets a little emotional walking past a zebra crossing, this one's for them. The Abbey Road Cushion is a knitting pattern for two designs: the iconic zebra crossing and the famous street sign, both worked in classic black and white with a pop of red for the sign.
Instructions are given for both Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) and intarsia, so you can choose the method you prefer. I've included a two-page chart for easy reading, a single-page chart, and full written row-by-row instructions for those who prefer to work without a chart.
The pattern is written clearly and works up well once you get into the rhythm of it. Both cushions are worked flat and seamed, which keeps things neat and straightforward.
Designed by Jane Burns. I've been creating knitting and crochet patterns for 18 years, so you can trust this one is as straightforward to follow as it looks.
