Everyone loves a dinosaur, there is something about those prehistoric guys that makes a child's face do something quite brilliant. Stomp Like a Dino is a children's intarsia jumper knitting pattern for ages 2 to 11 years, with a stomping dino motif across the front, spotted sleeves, and a pair of knitted legs appliquéd on for a genuinely satisfying 3D finish.
The pattern is chart-led, using a body chart for the dino motif and a sleeve chart for the spots. If you find spots on the front a bit much, the spots can be worked in duplicate stitch once the front is finished instead. Either way, the result is the same, and the look on the child's face when they see it will be worth every stitch.
This is an intermediate make, and I'd recommend having some intarsia experience before you begin. If you're fairly new to it, starting with the front is a good way in, as the body chart is more manageable than the sleeve.
